Clacton Judo Club Mission

Our Mission: - This is our reason for existing.

  • All who try Judo regardless of the number of lessons attended will forever after retain fond memories of their time at the club.
Goals: - How we will achieve our "Mission" (not in any particular order)
  • A minimum of 3 out of 5 attendees at their first lesson would attend a second.

Measurement - Club register

  • Provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment for the practise of Judo

Measurement - Feedback from parents and Judoka

  • All club profits are used to directly benefit Judoka (Judo players) practising Judo within the local community.

Measurement - Club accounts &/or Club newsletter

  • All Judoka to be treated fairly and gain equal benefits regardless of race, gender, background or ability.

Measurement - Club register & Feedback from parents and Judoka

  • Promote the virtues of Judo e.g. discipline, mutual respect, hard work

Measurement - Feedback from parents and Judoka

  • Promote the holistic approach to Judo e.g. balancing the physical and mental aspects of the sport.

Measurement - Feedback from parents and Judoka

  • Ensure all Judoka are not encouraged by club officials to enter contests before they are prepared both physically and mentally to do so.

Measurement - Feedback from parents and Judoka

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the club which is not necessarily related to contest results e.g. could be coaching or First Aid courses or club awards for Judoka improvement.

Measurement - Contest, grading results and qualifications gained.

  • Whilst all parents and Judoka's views are taken into consideration the responsibility for what takes place on the mat is that of the coaches taking the lesson.
